The Apartment Association of North Carolina, Inc. (AANC) is a non-profit statewide trade association dedicated to unifying rental housing professionals through legislative and regulatory advocacy and member services. AANC is affiliated with the National Apartment Association and local apartment associations in 7 major urban areas in the state. Members join AANC and NAA by joining the local affiliate in their area.

Affordable housing, quality construction, and professional management are some of the objectives of the AANC. Because housing is a basic need, apartment production and operation are subject to ever-increasing demands for higher standards of safety, habitability, security, environmental controls, design, and management. The AANC is committed to protecting the affordability of rental housing while maintaining the safety, livability, and security of its constituents' residents and the properties at which they reside.
